Get out that sidewalk chalk and make a piece of art that you are a part of. Draw a picture and put yourself in the scene. It's all about perspective! You need to be on a step stool or have an adult take the picture from high up. You can be holding balloons or flying over a city....the possibilities are endless. Please post a picture in our google drive account the right or tag me on twitter. *See Power Point below for more examples and tips. Students' completed work:Kaidin Howard

Choose an ordinary object around the house and create a short film with the object as the character. You should have at least (5) different tasks that the object goes through within a day and shoot no more than 10 seconds of each task. For example, if I were think what my shoe goes through in a day I might start out with it sitting in the closet, then me putting it on and tying the laces, then walking out the door and maybe stepping on something, kicking them off and leaving them in the middle of the room, and finally putting them away back in the closet. When editing, there should be no voice recording, but rather let dramatic music set the tone for what's happening. The audience should feel some sort of emotion for this object as if it is the character. You know you're successful when the audience expresses and emotion for a stationary object. Have fun and get creative! Use "Stop Motion" app and create a whiteboard animation
Materials: -whiteboard -dry erase marker or wet erase -ipad or phone with stop motion app Examples: (Some included creating illusions by using hand to pretend to erase and draw with hand). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8uOcBIJIQco https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQatWsgkjq8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3GPg8djk5nY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77xf2PkvVqY Get those legos, stuffed animals, or design your characters out of clay and make a movie! You will be using the FREE app "stop motion" to create a movie that makes it looks like the toys are moving on their own. Stop motion animation is created by moving an object a little bit at a time, taking a photograph of it, and then moving it again. You will be using the FREE app "stop motion" to create a movie that makes it looks like the toys are moving on their own. Once you are finished with your stop motion animation, you can record your voice and make your characters come to life.
EXTRA: Save your movie and import it into iMovie. There you can also record your voice, add sound effects, music, a title and credits page. Share your final creation with a loved one and/or upload to Google Drive for me to see. Link on side. Have fun and remember, don't move the camera...only the object. |
